LATCHING/LOCKING
OPTIONS:
These latches/locks are the third character in the part code: (Example:
B-NTC1212) |
· C - Screwdriver operated
cam latch
This latch is the most common on access panels, providing
easy access in standard applications. This latch is not available
on fire rated panels
· L - Key operated cylinder
lock
This latch is the most common on access panels, providing
easy access in standard applications. This latch is not available

· M - Mortise cylinder
lock preparation
The mortise preparation provides a higher level of
security than the 'L' style lock. The locks can be matched
to the project hardware. Cierra's doors accept a standard 1-1/8"
mortise cylinder by most lock manufacturers (Best, Corbin, Russwin,
Schlage, etc.).
· H - Hex head cam latch
This latch requires a standard allen wrench to open
the door, providing a higher level of security than a screwdriver
latch. This latch is not available on fire rated panels.
· P - Pinned hex head
cam latch
For more secure applications, the pinned hex head
cam latch allows tamperproof access. The latch requires a special
pinned allen wrench to open the door. This latch is not available
on fire rated panels.
· S - Security screw
- Pinned hex head
Security screws allow the highest level of security
without a lock cylinder. A special pinned allen wrench is required
to open the door (sold separately). This latch is not available
on fire rated panels.
· D - Detention lock
preparation
The detention lock preparation will accommodate several
brands of heavy-duty detention deadbolt locks. The most common use
for this option is in maximum security applications.
· B - Best 5E series
cam lock prep
This option is an economical solution for matching
a Best
locking system by preparing to receive a 5E cam lock.
· N - Knurled knob cam
latch

The knurled knob latch is finger operated, so it provides
unrestricted access for times when using a tool or key to open the
panel is not desired. This latch is not available on fire rated
panels.
| |
· C - Drip cap on frame
The drip cap is mounted on the upper horizontal frame,

This material is an economical choice for use where
a corrosion resistant material is required.
· S - Stainless steel
type #304
With #4 satin polish finish. Stainless steel material
is typically used in areas that require the highest level of corrosion
resistance. It is also used in areas where a polished stainless
steel look is desired.
· D - Double leaf access
door
When you need access to large openings, we recommend
double leaf doors for ease of use.
· C - Drip cap on frame
The drip cap is mounted on the upper horizontal frame,
and directs running water away from the face of the door to assist
with weather resistance. This option is not available on fire rated
panels.
· G - Gasketing
Gasketing can be applied to the doorstops of the frame
to provide weather resistance and reduce airflow between the door
and frame. A UL listed smoke seal gasket is also available.
· H - Continuous piano
hinge
Occasionally, a flush piano style hinge is required
on access panels for specification compliance.
· L - Louvered door
Some access door styles can be manufactured with a
louvered door to provide ventilation in special applications. This
option is not available on fire rated panels.
· M - Masonry anchors
Masonry anchors secure the panel when installed in
masonry.
· Z - Concealed continuous
piano hinge
This hinge option provides added security while maintaining
an appealing appearance. This hinge is not available on fire rated
