Babcock-Davis fire-rated floor doors are engineered to achieve fire-rated status without door pan cement infill – saving labor and material costs as well as maximizing the convenience and ease of use.

Babcock-Davis BF-Series: FTRM fire-rated, insulated, recessed floor doors provide access through openings in fire rated floors.

Warnock-Hersey listed for 2 hours.

The BFTRM is constructed of aluminum giving it superior aesthetics, durability, and corrosion resistance and has a recessed door accepting 1/8" VCT or carpet for an incredibly subtle appearance.

FTRM 1/4" smooth aluminum tread plate with 1/8" recess to add flooring material.

Frame:
1/4" extruded aluminum angle frame.

Hinge:
Type 316 stainless steel butt hinge

Spring:
Type 316 stainless steel gas springs, which restrains door in 90° open position and allows close by gravity

Latch:
Type 316 stainless steel 2-point latch with inside pull handle and outside removable T-handle
Optional: 165°F fusible-link self-closing mechanism per NFPA 80

Finish:
Mill finish. Frames provided with protective epoxy coating at areas that contact concrete

Testing Std:
NFPA 288 (formerly referred to as a ASTM E 119) maximum temperature rise to 250˚ in 30 min.; 2 or 3-hour rating and NFPA 251 in floor/ceiling assembly. Subjected to hose stream test per NFPA 252, UL10(b), UBC, CAN/ULC-S104, and UB-106

Listing:
Sizes up to and including 48 x 60 are rated for 2 or 3-hour rating. NFPA 288 (maximum temperature rise to 250˚F.)
