The Project
The Villages at Lake Worth apartments is a new multifamily residential development located in Lake Worth Beach, FL, offering 216 units. The project required reliable rooftop access for ongoing building maintenance while meeting the stringent code requirements associated with South Florida construction.
The project team needed 24 roof hatches that could provide safe rooftop access across the apartment complex while complying with Miami-Dade County requirements for wind resistance and product approval certification. Equally important, the solution had to be available on a timeline that would keep the fast-moving project on schedule.
Working together with Gulf-Eagle Supply and SEI Group, Babcock-Davis supplied 24 BA3054 Personnel Roof Hatches for the development. The hatch offered the required Miami-Dade Notice of Acceptance (NOA), helping the project meet regional code and performance requirements. In addition, product availability allowed the contractor to obtain the roof hatches quickly and keep the project on schedule.
By selecting the Personnel Roof Hatch, the project team secured a rooftop access solution designed for South Florida conditions. The combination of Miami-Dade approval and in-stock availability made Babcock-Davis a practical choice for the multifamily development, supporting both project performance requirements and construction timelines.
